7-ELEVEN CONTINENTAL RIDER NICHOL PAREJA

Nichol Blanca Pareja is one of the youngest and promising riders 7-Eleven has in its fleet.

Motivated by his first BMX bike, Nichol Pareja started his amateur cycling races in 2017. He joined several amateur races in the National Capital Region, Rizal, Benguet and Pangasinan.

Nichol Pareja’s first notable amateur achievement came in the 6th Interclub Criterium Cycling Series 2018, where he won the first leg and placed second in the second leg. Despite finishing 7th in the third and fourth legs, he triumphed in the final leg in Las Piñas, ultimately securing the overall championship title of the series.

In 2019, Pareja achieved two-stage podium finishes during the Vuelta Dagupan 2019.

From the outset of Nichol Pareja’s career, former 2006 Padyak Pinoy and 2012 LBC Ronda Pilipinas Champion Mark John Lexer Galedo had since played a vital role honing “Robot,” Nichol’s pet name.

Later, Mark Galedo introduced his prodigy to 7-Eleven coach Ric Rodriguez in 2018 and the rest is history.

His baptism of fire in 7-Eleven was when he participated in PRUride Ph 2019, held in Subic Bay Metropolitan Area. The fresh blood was among the top ten riders in the best young rider.

In the ensuing competition, Le Tour de Filipinas 2019 proclaimed the 7-Eleven youngster the second-best Filipino rider in stage one.

In the same year, he placed second overall in Tour de Balayan.

During the second Philycycling-Go For Gold National Youth and Juniors Championship staged in Tagaytay City in the third quarter of 2019, the 7-Eleven wunderkind topped the ITT competition. In the same way, he placed second overall in the Tagaytay City road race, under the U23 Category, of the annual youth and juniors competitions.
