Aidan James Mendoza, the Go For Gold engine from San Manuel, Pangasinan, continues to build his legacy as a ruthless sprinter. Known for his explosive power and relentless determination, the then-breakout athlete Mendoza first made waves in 2017 as the overall champion of the Vuelta Dagupan Tour of Pines.
In 2019, he shone on the international stage at the Tour de Siak UCI 2.2 race in Indonesia, securing 2nd and 3rd places in Stages 2 and 3. His strong form continued into 2020, where he claimed a podium spot with a 3rd-place finish in Stage 6 of the LBC Ronda Pilipinas Anniversary Race.
By 2021, racing under Go For Gold colors, Mendoza delivered a remarkable performance at the Tour of Thailand UCI 2.1 race, finishing 4th in Stage 5.
The following year, in the 2022 LBC Ronda Pilipinas, the once up-and-comer and Go For Gold espoir asserted his dominance. Outpacing veteran and rookie riders alike, Mendoza crossed the finish line after an impressive sprint, clocking in at 4 hours, 0 minutes, and 20 seconds with an average speed of 40.69 kph.
Mendoza’s ascending force status in professional cycling is hard-earned, as he continues to prove himself as a force to be reckoned with on both national and international circuits.
