Mervin Corpuz is seen teaming up with other prominent Filipino cyclists in Dubai, including Jhonrey Buccat and Marco Lumanog from San Manuel, Pangasinan, as well as Rustom Lim and Marlboro Tour standout Juancho Bumagat from Guimba, Nueva Ecija.
Apparently, a local cycling team there usually picks riders from Pangasinan because of strong cycling culture, talent pool, or development programs that make its riders appealing to the team.
The growing community of Filipino cyclists in Dubai, UAE has caught the attention of some cyclists back home and is likely to continue increasing as the cycling drought in the Philippines persists.
