Pangasinan loses some riders to La Union in Batang Pinoy latest edition

Mangaldan, Pangasinan | According to Mr. Jazy Fernandez Garcia, a two-time Guam Olympian for cycling and the only cycling son of Jesus Garcia Jr., a three-time National Tour champion, Pangasinan—dubbed the Home of Cycling Champions—is reportedly losing some riders to La Union in Batang Pinoy 2024 due to developmental and sponsorship reasons.

The said claim surfaced following the revelation last week that Pangasinan has only one representative in the Batang Pinoy cycling events.

Reportedly, four youths from Pangasinan have joined the La Union team for various reasons, including better opportunities, support, and resources like sponsorships and training programs offered by the province.
