The 26-year-old Filipino powerhouse Marco Lumanog of Life Cycle Works stormed the breakaway solo at the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge, proudly flying the Philippine flag with every pedal stroke. The race was ultimately ruled by another Filipino from Life Cycle Works, Emman Velasco, who clinched the top podium spot. This triumph coincided with the Ajman Cycling Race, further highlighting Filipino excellence on the international stage.
Notably, the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge has a rich history with Filipino cyclists. In 1992, Rhyan Tanguilig became the first Filipino to win the event. Tanguilig also made history in 2005 by becoming the first Filipino to claim the coveted Sprint King title in the Tour de Indonesia (UCI 2.1).
