Rising From Struggles: The Journey of Villasis’ Pride

In 2010, at 18, Ronald Nozuelo Oranza, the pride of Villasis, Pangasinan, discovered his passion for cycling after his father’s passing—a loss that fueled his determination to support his struggling family.

Despite enduring financial hardships, often going to school hungry and walking two kilometers home, Oranza’s resilience shone through.

His life changed when he joined a cycling trial for the LBC Team, where he met future Navy teammates like El Joshua Cariño, Ronald Lomotos, and Junrey Navarra, paving the way for his cycling journey—and the rest is history.
