Excellent Noodles Cycling Team top climber, Joshua Pascual, is being hailed as the next big thing in Philippine cycling. The Philippine cycling’s best-kept secret is set to make a bold comeback in the multi-stage MPTC Tour of Luzon 2025, starting April 24, where he’s expected to unleash his trademark climbing and time trial prowess.

In July 2023, Pascual conquered what is widely regarded as Asia’s toughest pro race—the high-altitude Tour of Qinghai Lake in China, often called the “Altitude Tour de France of Asia.”
With elevations more than double that of Baguio City, he made history as the first Filipino to ever finish the grueling event—a feat even seasoned climbers like Marcelo Felipe and Nichol Pareja were unable to match.
With that track record, Pascual is undoubtedly one to watch—especially on the 1,500-meter-above-sea-level hors catégorie climb of the Queen Stage in the MPTC Tour of Luzon 2025.
