If there’s one rider we can be proud of after the recently concluded MPTC Tour of Luzon 2025, it’s Jan Paul Morales. His true combative spirit, despite major setbacks in the early stages, reflects his deep passion for the sport.
Cycling indeed runs in his blood. He loves the sport more than anyone—enough to risk his life for it.
Morales remains relentless, with or without a classification jersey. He never lost the plot completely.

A class of his own, the Standard Insurance Philippines (SIP) fourth man (No. 24) has been a persistent challenger and a constant threat to Joo Dae Yeong’s dominance.
In history, Jan Paul Morales and Santy Barnachea, former teammates and Shipmates, became the oldest cyclists in different times to reach the podium and earn individual honors in a multi-stage race–at 39.
