Whelan Rab Itong, the first Filipino champion of the United Arab Emirates Cycling Federation (UAECF) and the current overall titleholder, will officially hang up his wheels at the end of the month. He is preparing to pursue a degree in Aeronautical Engineering in Pasay City, Philippines.
The 18-year-old Butuan native is currently a member of the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club, with his contract set to expire on May 31.
Itong has been with the aforementioned team for 3 and a half years (since 2022).
