7-Eleven 5’10” Continental rider Joshua Pascual is set to challenge Thailand’s national pride, 5’6” Olympian Thanakhan “Frame” Chaiyasombat, not in height but in sheer power and resilience.
Chaiyasombat has ridden for the Thailand Continental Cycling Team since turning professional in 2018, while Pascual, who turned elite in 2024, represents the 7-Eleven Continental Cycling Team overseas.
Both riders are standout members of their national teams, having claimed double crowns in the Individual Time Trial (ITT) and Road Race.
Chaiyasombat’s achievements include gold in the Team Time Trial and silver in the Individual Time Trial at the 30th SEA Games. Pascual is poised to compete in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, continuing his rise on the international stage.
As the final stage of the PETRONAS Le Tour de Langkawi approaches, Pascual is ready to pull out all the stops, aiming to close the 1 minute and 24-second gap that separates him from Chaiyasombat, who has maintained podium finishes podium finishes in the Best Asian Classification since stage 2.
For Pascual, this daunting challenge is about more than individual glory—it’s a test of endurance, teamwork, and national pride.
Good luck to the 7-Eleven Team!
