The man responsible for controlling the pace before the official flag-off at Kilometer Zero is PETRONAS Le Tour de Langkawi’s Commissaire 2, Jamaludin Mahmood—a familiar figure in both international and Asian cycling circuits.

A former Malaysian State Cyclist and National Coach, Mahmood brings decades of experience to the race. He notably served as Chief Commissaire during the inaugural Le Tour de Langkawi in 1996, and later took on leadership roles as Race Director of Jelajah Malaysia and Tour de Jakarta.
Mahmood also lent his expertise to the organizing committee of LBC Ronda Pilipinas, alongside Chairman Fernando “Dino” Araneta, the late Project Director Moe Chulani, Race Director Ric Rodriguez, and Administrative Director Jack Yabut, during the event’s conceptualization 15 years ago.
