Philippine Team Time Trial (TTT) contender for the Asian Youth Championship (3rd Asian Youth Games) in Manama, Bahrain, CJ Cabrebros, pride of Ilocos Sur, faced adversity as his time trial bike was disallowed for not meeting UCI standards, resulting in a devastating 16-minute+ starting delay.
This similar event echoes the same bad start Jermyn Prado faced during the 30th SEA Games individual time trial event in Batangas in 2019.
Despite the setback, Cabreros, together with his TTT teammates Joelian Abdual Hamid and Carl Laurence Espinosa, is bravely moving past loss and is set to line up for the upcoming road race—in addition to Cabreros’ subsequent solo event, the individual time trial.
