Pitaki Boyz | The Den of Champions

The Pitaki Boyz was a defunct, close-knit team comprised mostly of riders who individually brought honor and fame to the cycling-crazy province of Pangasinan.

The team’s name, Pitaki, is a vernacular equivalent of the name of the former Italian professional sprinter, Alessandro Petacchi.

Formed in 2004 by two-time Olympian and Guam immigrant, Jazy Fernandez Garcia, the Jazysports-Beacon Philippines Pitaki Boyz (or simply Pitaki Boyz) engaged in several Asian Tour races for two consecutive years.

The Pitaki Boyz served as the den for past and future national cycling tour champions—the majority from Pangasinan—including Reynaldo Navarro (2000), Alfredo Calosa (2001), Arnel Quirimit (2003), Baler Ravina (2012), Irish Valenzuela (2013), and El Joshua Cariño (2018).
