I Love My Bike More Than My Wife | The Garcia Reynolds Peugeot PX10

This professional-grade red Peugeot road bike—believed to be the legendary Reynolds PX10 model—is the machine that carried the three-time national cycling tour champion, Jesus A. Garcia Jr., into numerous (3) individual and (5) team championships back in the 1970s.

The Peugeot Road bike, the gold standard for pro-racers then and utilized by Eddy “The Cannibal” Merckx in his prime, was a pre-loved road bike previously own by his townmate and kumpare, Mario Garin. Garcia purchased it on 28 November 1972 in exchange for P750.

When asked how much he loved his bike: “I love my bike more than my wife,” Garcia quipped.

It is truly a ‘Golden Bike.’
