The Asian Cycling Championships Junior Road Race is more than just a developmental platform for young, aspiring cyclists—it serves as a gateway to professional cycling.
This prestigious competition not only nurtures emerging talent but also allows nations to showcase their cycling prowess on the international stage, influencing their global rankings.
Moreover, it exposes young riders to diverse race strategies, challenging terrains, and high-level competition, shaping them into world-class athletes.
To date, Rex Luis Krog, son of former Philippine national cycling team members, holds the best Filipino finish in the event, securing a silver medal in 2018 as a Go For Gold-sponsored national athlete, surpassing Rustom Lim’s bronze-medal achievement from 2011.
